00’s Hugo de Ruiter ‘kikko’ chaise longue for Leolux

Hugo de Ruiter has been for 20 years the design manager for Leolux. He compares his designs with his ‘always wanted to be’ hobby: kitchen chef. A salmon needs to swim over oceans to grow such as all natural things. Nature needs time and designing needs also. You learn more every year.

Kikko is a design from 2000 and is known as an extraordinary furniture design. ‘You have the rest of your life to be normal’. ‘By creating a back that can turn 180 degrees, you end up with a couch that has normal seating depth, but with one that can also function as a chaise longue to relax or watch TV. The chaise longue easily can transform into a comfortable seat with additional room.
