50s Alfred Hendrickx wood and glass coffee table for Belform
Belgian designer Alfred Hendrickx was born in 1931. While information is limited, it is known that Hendrickx collaborated with Belgian furniture manufacturer Belform throughout the midcentury, designing elegant, sculptural furniture. His 1950s and ‘60s-era pieces have been recently rediscovered on the vintage market, sought after for their more “industrial-style” take on the midcentury Scandinavian look, using both fine woods like oak and teak and less luxurious materials like laminates and steel. This coffee table is an example of his timeless view on furniture design.
