50s Coen de Vries wooden writing desk for Devo
Coen de Vries is well known as a pioneer of Dutch Modernism after World War II. With his company Devo in the Hague and his close involvement in the ‘Goed Wonen’ program (a monthly magazine to stimulate modernism in the Dutch living rooms) he introduced functional modern furniture in timeless designs to the European interior. This 85cm wide writing desk is a great example of his style. Nowadays it can be used inside living rooms for example to have the decorative function and also a small working place for your labtop. This shows the timeless design of Coen de Vries. It even fits in this time area.
