Ørskov & Co. was established 1953 by Torben Ørskov.
The philosophy has always been to produce functional designs at reasonable prices.
Ørskov & Co. represents good craftsmanship, beautiful colors and classic designs made by Danish designers.

Orskov’s designs are over almost 70 years existence high-quality items that enhance the living environment. Orskov productrange is just outside the furniture market up to today, and concerns for example bags, luxury desk pads, pen tray holders, lamps, candeliers etc.

Therefore this Z chairs are very rare and would have connected the Ørskov productrange a bit closer to the furniture market. Beautiful red lacquered foldable chairs. But this model actually was never really in production. It’s brother the Z-down chair did and is more common. Jonna Magnussen, the widow of Erik Magnussen: “Yes the chair was designed by Erik Magnussen. To the best of my knowledge it was never really in production. Those chairs – including Z-down – happen to be the first furniture Erik designed – encouraged by Torben Orskov who had a design shop in central Copenhagen – Form & Farve. Erik was – at this time – still working for Bing & Grøndahl Porcelain exploring new ways of designing porcelain service.”
