Poul Henningsen has crowned his work with this lamp. Poul Henningsen grew up at a time when lighting still consisted of petroleum light and therefore for electric light. He didn’t like the arrival of the electric light. He missed the romantic light from the petroleum lamp and went looking for such an atmosphere. With this design he succeeded. The copper leaves give the lighting a warm atmosphere such as a fire. The 72 copper slats hide the light source so that it is not immediately visible. This version is an early version. On top of the lamp are handles and plates that the arches are screwed to. This construction was changed later. The inner lamp carries the outer lamp by means of one central steel wire and a bayonet fitting. This lamp has been untouched since 1960. This ensures that a beautiful patina has emerged. The chrome arches are in good condition. The top cover has some superficial rust, which is good for the lamp. The lamp is cleaned inside (All the chrome and the white lacquered inside) Everything in original working condition. The lighting cable and the porcelain fitting are also unchanged. However, a gradient fitting has been screwed in, so that the lamp can burn on a (saving) lamp with E27 fitting instead of the original E40 fitting. Condition Original and unrestored and good working.
