60s Walter Wirz wandregal for Wilhelm Renz
Wilhelm Renz took over the company in 1902 from Otto Vetter, who started his company in 1882. The company is located in the German town of Stuttgart, where Wilhelm Renz has been in charge for a long time. More than 10 years later, Wilhelm Renz builds a new factory in Böblingen.
As the company grows and expands and a typical Renz – line is created, individual furniture for the living space. After Wilhelm Renz leaves, his eldest son Kurt Renz takes over the company and leads the company through the second world war to a new era under the name Wilhelm Renz KG. Furniture production is changed and new materials and processing methods are possible. In the post-war era there is more room for creative ideas and organic shapes. Right angles and symmetry are a thing of the past.
