70s Giotto Stoppino dining chair for Kartell set/4
70s Giotto Stoppino dining chair for Kartell set/4
The way Giotto Stoppino worked with the 1970s tubular steel, is very recognizable nowadays. Curved lines, and no classic design for example for his famous ‘cobra’ dining chairs, that actually look like a snake in some angles. In this time period he worked with the tubular steel a much more rare chair most likely due to quality of the materials and the designs came to the market. This set of 4 stoppino designed chairs are attributed to Kartell manufacturing. The set is in a creamy yellow leather and shows a nice patina. See the double line tubular steel bend around the leather seat. They are also comfortable to sit in! Good condition consitent with age and use. Minor spurs of usage in the leather.
