In 1934, the ‘Zuid-Nederlandse Clubmeubel-fabriek (ZNC)’ was founded. With only a few employees, this company made traditional furniture. The war years are turbulent, especially when the company finds itself in the front line in 1944 just because of their location in the south of the Netherlands. After the war it came under the management of a Dutch bank concern, which Ton Sanders appointed to supervise. A few years later, in 1948, he and his brother Jan bought the Club furniture factory with collected family money.

In the second half of the fifties, Danish and Italian designers developed and the Sanders brothers did not miss this. They implement new foam materials, artificial leathers and other upholstery techniques and apply them without hesitation. The classic paths are abandoned. The still young designer Harry de Groot commits himself with heart and soul to the company and together the brothers and Harry make a modern collection. The proud lion in the ZNC logo becomes a luxurious lion, “Leolux”, a brand name that quickly spreads throughout the company.

Harry de Groot was an important designer for the development of the Leolux brand, and even wrote a book about the company’s history. He passed away in 2013. The brand adapts with each generation and this flexibility ensures that the company still exists. Today, the company works with the best design studios for its designs and these are also given a leading role, something that is completely appropriate in the current time.

Harry de Groot designed the 757 sofa in the early 1970s. A wooden frame with comfortable leather seat cushions that match the 1970s era and at the same time have a timeless design. Of the 757 there are single-seater armchairs, two-seaters and three-seaters, allowing you to create a complete seating area. We have both an original three-seater and two-seater in our collection that we offer. Note: the price here is for the article we show in this ad.
