80s Annig Sarian round bend wooden dining chair for Tisettanta set/8
Designer Annig Sarian has developed a quiet and considered approach to her work that she produced for manufacturers like Tisettanta and Arflex.
In the 1970s and 80s Tisettanta had what we call nowadays an artistic director by the designer Carlo Bartoli. Annig designed some furnitures like a Zea model dining chair and the Letto Arriane bed. From this same design line are these round bentwood chairs from the early eighties. The chairs are characteristically detailed with a refined elegance and the use of curved wood drawing inspiration from Modernist principles.
Annig’s work was recently included in the book ’40 years of Good Design, 1971-2011′ published by Italian manufacturer Tissettanta. These chairs are also shown in the book.
