In the early 1960s designers started to be inspired by nature and animals in their furniture design. The cowhorn chair is a design that was introduced in that time period by designers like Louis van Teeffelen, Johannes Andersen or Th. Harlev. In the 1980s the Italian design industry reflected in return to those developments but with a total different approach. The form of curved cow horn does communicate very well with human backs. So to make a comfortable and noticeable chair Italian firms like Arco gave more elegance to form and material and also raised the building-quality.

This chair has beautiful slim and tappered legs, a comfortable seat and cowhorn form backrest and without brandmark we would attribute them to Arco for the quality of building.
