The belux leia lamp family reflects modern minimalism deeply rooted in Japanese culture. The sober shape and the exquisite use of materials are restrained and therefore adapt to any room. The warm, energy-saving light creates a pleasant atmosphere. belux leia is used in places where variable lighting moods and a restrained design are desired.
Naoto Fukasawa bets on the power of simplicity. Design that wants to stand out at all costs is not for him. Rather, this designer strives for a design in which unobtrusiveness becomes a precondition. Objects should not impose themselves on the viewer, but acquire a place in everyday life through their usefulness. The Japanese born in 1956 uses the term ‘super-normal-design’ for this type of design. “Special is usually less useful than normal,” he explains. Central to this is the ability of an object to explain its own function and to stimulate its use.
Fukasawa combines various materials in the lamps. The lamp head made of artificial glass contrasts with the high-gloss aluminum of the lamp base and cover. belux leia is suitable for use at home as well as for use in representative office spaces and can illuminate an area of 20 m2.
