60s beautiful highboard model 19 for Omann Jun Møbelfabrik
Gunni Omann designed until the late 1960s for Omann Jun Møbelfabrik. The company was founded in 1933 by Andreas Omann in Horsens, Denmark.
At first, the company mostly produced beds and dining tables, but from the 1950s they also started making desks and sideboards, often working in teak, oak and rosewood. Thanks to the high-level execution, quality, and great attention to detail, Omann Jun products have been exclusively sold worldwide and because of the at that time also exclusive character of the furnitures each piece has become more and more rare and wanted mid 20th century objects with a timeless look and feel.
From 1979, Andreas’ son, Bjorne Omann, took over the Omann Jun and started to produce exclusive furnishings for professional offices.
In 2005, his son Ulrich Omann took over the company, beginning the third generation of the manufactory. Ulrich did something really special. His focus and collection is on producing re-editions of his grandfather’s designs! So the Omann Jun factory re-editions it’s own history.
This model 19 is original 1960s and in amazing good condition. It has three inner drawers and a shelf behind each door. Very detailed feet and doorhandles on this teak sideboard.
