60s Clausen and Maerus writers architectural desk for Eden Rotterdam

Large and unique teak design architectural office designed by Norwegian designers Clausen & Maerus for Eden Rotterdam. Equipped with 4 drawers at the front, 3 storage compartments at the back and 3 deep storage compartments in the middle, which can be closed with roller doors. The desk can be used on both sides and shows best standing alone. Clausen and MANUS, not Maerus, were an office supply company set up after 1945 and they had Rastad and Relling draw up some designs for desks.(Soruce:. page 24-26 in Mats Linder book “Møblene er fra Rastad og Relling”). The Eden company was based in Rotterdam the Netherlands and there is little info to find over them. Eden Meubelmagazijn’ made desks and bookcases from the 1930’s and we know from their history because of advertisements in the Groene Amsterdammer and labels that where found on their desks.

This desk is in a beautiful condition. The rolling doors of the in table top cabinets are working smooth. The lock key is missing but the lock is still in the desk. Beautiful desk.
