60s orkney oak wooden and wicker chair

A Orkney chair is a traditional piece of furniture dating back many hundreds of years. While many of the old straw crafts have died out, Orkney chairs are still in production in all parts of the world. So the type of chair, originally made in wicker backrest and the embracement to keep people warm while sitting is a timeless piece of furniture.

This oak framed ‘ear chair’ has the orkney DNA and with its wicker seat and beautiful demin like fabric backrest is a huge comfort to sit in. This 1960s chair is in good condition consistent with age and use.
