80s ‘Bornholm’ lounge fauteuil for Erlau AG set/3
Karl Fichtel is well known for his ‘wired furniture’ designs in the field of interior design from the 50s. Coat racks, chairs, tables, etc, were designed by him in the fifties at Drahtwerke Erlau A.G. in Germany. The company has continued to develop and still exists. Their current product range focuses on professional outdoor use and street furniture.
The ‘bornholm’ armchair model is designed as a garden lounger.
Ergonomically shaped, weatherproof, timeless design and also very stable – these are the major advantages of the Bornholm tilting lounger, which can also be used as a garden lounger. Tilting lying surface with wire mesh and round tube, diameter 25 mm. Skid-shaped base made of round tube, prevents sinking into the lawn. This set of three is from the 1980s and is in good condition consistent with age and use.
