80s Ernst W. Beranek ‘fine forms’ dining chair for Thonet set/4

4 Black lacquered wooden dining chairs references to some great designer of the 19th and 20th Centuries: Michael Thonet, Josef Hoffman and Otto Wagner. This set of chairs was designed by Ernst W. Beranek in Germany in the 1980s as an homage to the work of Michael Thonet. Note the special gold ‘stamp’ in the chairs reading ‘Michael Thonet 1796-1871’.

There are many stylistic influences. All which come together in one powerful and grand design fully matching the post moderen area of the 1980s. The chairs are part of a series that has named “fine forms’ and this name is still matched to Thonet designs of nowadays.
These chairs are in very good condition consistent with age and use.
