80s Giandomenico Belotti leather dining chairs for Alias set/4
The Italian designer and architect Giandomenico Belotti has enjoyed success across numerous creative fields, yet remains today best known for one particular object. Developed in 1979 for the Italian manufacturer Alias the legendary Spaghetti Chair was added to the permanent collection of Museum of Modern Art, MoMA, in 1983. Beyond the Spaghetti Chair Belotti has also developed numerous other seating designs for Alias, in addition to creating domestic, commercial and public architecture.
This set with leather seating and back is one of that designs using the same sled framing as his spaghetti chairs. Stackable. The leather gives these chairs more comfort in seating. Set in good condition consistent with age and use.
Since 1992, Giandomenico Belotti has principally been active mainly in the fields of urban planning and industrial design.
