90s Idir Mecibah solid metal artwork coffee table by Smederij Moerman

90s brutalist coffee table by Idir Mecibah (1958-2013), produced by Smederij Moerman 1998. This solid steel table is from the scrab series. Mecibah designed the scrab series in the late 1980s and the table has been produced till the end of the 1990s. Made of solid steel, square form. Forged steel legs welded to the top. Large beautiful craftsman and heavy steel table.
Idir Mecibah died at the young age of 55, in Antwerp Belgium. As a designer Idir was just upcoming, he just signed a contract with the Belgian furniture brand Durlet! Most of his furniture could not reach production stadium anymore and therefore any item of Idir will be a collectible.
