90s Jorge Pensi ‘duna’ chair for Cassina set/6
Pensi rose to fame in 1988 with its aluminum Toledo chair that almost immediately became a classic. Pensi studied architecture in Buenos Aires, Argentina and moved to Spain in 1975 with Alberto Liévro. Between 1977 and 1984 they worked together in the Grupo Berenguer. Today he lives and works in Barcelona. The small scale of his own company enables him to maintain his independence and authenticity at all times. The manufacturers who produce his designs only receive prototypes from him and no drawings with which Pensi leaves its mark on the end result right up to the last phase. In 1984 Jorge Pensi started his own design agency. He developed – especially for his aluminum furniture – his own style that is characterized by original sensitive lines. He also taught at the Stuttgart Art Academy. His works are often exhibited and described in specialized magazines. The Duna chair is from the 90s and this set has a beautiful aluminum frame covered with fabric. The set is in very good condition consistent with age and use.
