In the Dutch TV show Cash or Trash with Martien Meiland and Barbara Jongsma, Barbara did buy this piece! Why? Because it is different and has a design story to tell.

One of the first lighting manufacturers in the Netherlands. Since its founding in 1932 in Zeist by industrial designer Herman Theodoor Jan Anthoin Busquet. Afterwards the company moved to Amersfoort. Hala stands for the production of quality luminaires in the modern segment of their time. Hala stopped productions in 2013.

Hala always designed its lamps with the user in mind. Not only the model, but also the functionality played an important role. In addition, Hala would never compromise on quality. They strived to combine trends with timeless designs. Many Hala fixtures therefore nowadays find a second life and become collector’s items.

Because of this history, Barbara knew this lamp would be appreciated by the BarbMama Design customers, so she decided to buy this piece in the live Television show Cash or Trash.
