Provenance
By the curator:

DeSede number 47 is a masterpiece in furniture design. The sofa has a very rare design history. Where ‘they say’ a hide was thrown over a hump of hay’ , that’s how the sofa accidentally was invented. The looks and feel of craftmen on a quality skin without stitches in the parts where human meets leather. That inspired the DeSede developers to draw the DS47. Every DS-47 seat has a lot of character in the leather. Only the finest bull hides are used for it. With a highly developed grain and free of scars. There are no stitching in the DS-47. The 0.5 centimeter thick leather requires a lot of skill and expertise to process. Work is done from the nape of the neck from the inside out. The DS-47 has an extendable seat. That makes it a little deeper. This leaves more room for relaxation.

This original 70s DS-47 fauteuil is in dark brown leather and in very good condition! The extendable seat is working very well.
