Paolo Rizzatto ‘tree’ side table for Alias

Paolo Rizzato designed the tree table as a serie of tables and stools for Alias in 1991. The tables design composes a die-cast aluminium tripod with different shaped and sized tops, made of more traditional materials, such as slate, glass, beechwood with linoleum inlays, or solid cherrywood. The use of techniques from different eras, of materials contrasting in performance, appearance and memory, contribute to change the situation of stagnant design which leads to accademism, and narcissistic self-contemplation.

This tripod tree side table has no working height adjustment but looks fabulous in the way it is shown. The hight adjustment needs attention. Good condition consistent with age and use.
