Large 1980s tangle sculpture by Richard X Zawitz born in Pittsburgh USA and great sculptor that has been working and traveling between USA and Hong Kong. Articulated by an artistic movement that Zawitz has named ‘curvism’, the Tangle is an opportunity to physically connect with infinity via material form. These works can be manipulated into an infinite series forms from the abstract to the suggestively anthropomorphic. Richard X Zawitz: Ever since the first day and moment I handed a Tangle to a person at a trade show and saw the smile and positive reaction to playing with my invention, I have never stopped creating and innovating. By witnessing the magic intrinsic to touching and fidgeting with a Tangle, this inspired me to become ONE with The Tangle. Originally created as a unique, one of a kind wood sculpture, I later on decided to mass-produce Tangle, “so that anyone and everyone could experience the creative process”. In this mass produce their have been all kinds of Tangles, small ones for children but even extreme large huge items as outdoor Art object. The fascination for the endlessness of a material is so inspiring for human beings that this object fits in any environment.
