Charles and Ray Eames originally designed the Lobby Chairs in 1959. This piece is an early piece and equipped with the original 1960s leather cushions typical of this legendary executive office design chairs, the ES 104 Lobby Chair is the ideal office chair for prestigious office environments.

The Lobby Chair is related in construction to the Lounge Chair, and just as comfortable. It consists of three separate cushions connected by metal side pieces. This armchair was originally designed for the lobby of the Time Life Building in New York. In the years that followed, different versions were created that have all in common: exceptional seating comfort. A Lobby Chair has been available in three versions: the ES 104 swivel office chair, the ES 108 conference chair on glides, and the wider and lower ES 105 armchair for lobbies and waiting areas. This original example is an ES104. This piece is still in original condition never been worked on, unrestored. Pricing is matched to the condition of the chair and offers the buyer full view on it’s origin and opens possibilities to restore the chair if there is a wish to do so.
