Hugo de Ruiter fauteuil ‘hemmingway’ for Leolux set/2

With more than 22 years experience in my design studio, and more than 20 years of experience as a designer and as a design-manager for Leolux Hugo de Ruiter is a furniture designer who is constantly searching for meaningful developments in his concepts and in this search he frequently finds non-conformist solutions which contain distinctive functional features and a surprising design.

At the age of 14, Hugo decided that he wanted to be a chef or a designer. His first sauces were sometimes lumpy, just like his first table, which was a bit rickety.
It was the combination of passion and ambition which drove Hugo forwards..

Every single one of his designs are being produced by craftsmen with an eye for quality.

In 2003 Hugo designed the Hemmingway fauteuils for Leolux. Wapiti leather and beautiful design with lots of comfort. This set of two is in dark brown leather with leather on the armrests and are both in good condition.
