Marco Lampis acrylic on canvas painting ‘Relazioni’

Marco Lampis is born in Pinerolo Italy on 09 March 1970, where he lives and works. Since 1999 he began to exhibit his works at the contemporary art gallery “En Plein Air” in Pinerolo, later participating in several group exhibitions and national competitions. Today his works are present in numerous private collections in Italy, Europe and Asia.

Marco: ‘My works are my story, my path. I have chosen to focus on the human being, the fascinating and mysterious protagonist of my continuous research, he allows me, in the creative act, to meet myself. My paintings are the relationships, the solitudes, the everyday life of the people I observe, whom I respect, whom I hate: all the parts of me.’ This work is named ‘relazioni’ and means in englisch ‘relations’. With a special focus on the ’s’ in the way of plural. There are 2 people painted by Marco and they all can tell you something about their relation to eachother but also how they see their relation within this group of three.

But also the relation with the background is important, are they walking towards a skyline, on a fence that is closed or can be opened. Every detail in the painting can have you think about relations to the people who are on the painting. The way you think of relations is also influenced on your current state of mind. And because of that the painting in fact never gets borring.
